Boy, that is a whole lot of motor for such a little car.
- The manufacturer best known for its big-selling 206 has developed a fire-breathing V12-engined monster, and here it is. This is the Peugeot 907, which will debut at the Paris Motor Show later this month. Two other new models will join it on the French company's stand - a sporty 1007 and the quirky Quark, a futuristic fuel cell vehicle. The 907 is powered by a 500bhp 6.0-litre engine, and there is even a glass panel in the bonnet so fans can get a glimpse of the intake trumpets. Technology more commonly found on the racetrack is also standard, including a six-speed sequential gearbox and carbon fibre bodywork. With its glazed roof and retractable spoiler, the newcomer is a far cry from the 407, with which it shares its distinctive front grille. Inside, the two-seater gets plush leather and Alcantara trim, while analogue instruments are displayed on a digital screen. The 907, which has a restricted 155mph top speed, is described by Peugeot as an 'exciting showcase' for the firm's hi-tech developments
